The rear garden of the Upper Blue Mountains Youth Centre had become overgrown with weeds and was completely unusable. Peak Landscapes provided the design solution. and teaming up with MYST and Max Employment, Peak Landscapes lead a team of twenty unemployed local youth to conduct a landscape transformation. Part the National Green Jobs Corps government initiative, the project provided participants with valuable practical skills as well as a nationally recognised TAFE qualification. The steeply sloping block was manually reshaped to create 3 large recreation & sitting areas involving the construction of retaining walls, steps, pavements & garden beds.
